Well the dithering is over! Seats are booked and hotel reserved. Yep, our tickets and hotel for our trip to Hong Kong are booked.
Our son and his partner are getting married in Devon in November and then going to Hong Kong in January for a Chinese wedding banquet and we are going too!!!!!! I'm getting really excited as I've never been there before and it's somewhere that has always held an attraction for me. We will aslo get to meet E's family and all the relatives from China so I had better learn a couple of Chinese phrases. It will be Chinese New Year while we are there so it is going to be incredible. I'll actually get to ride on the Star Ferry and visit the night markets and fish markets and everything else that Hong Kong has to offer. We are hoping to go to the water villages, Lantau and the Buddist temples. We are not going to Bejing this time as it is extremely cold at that time of the year. We'll save it for another visit. It was suggested we go to Shanghai but that doesn't really appeal but hey who knows.
How much excitement can one girl take. We've got the wedding in November which I never thought I'd see as they have been together for 16 years. Eldest son had never appeared to want to take that step. So miracles do happen. Then the HK trip AND I have also been told about a patchwork shop in Hong Kong but I don't think I'll mention that just yet to DH!! It will be my secret.
NOw to sort something to wear for the wedding and plan something for HK. I might even wait and have something made over there.

BRILLIANT! That is just great Di, not long now either. The time will soon zip by. Heehee I love it that you found a patchwork shop nearby, mind you I bet you will see loads of fabric shops anyway. Ive heard they are scattered just about everywhere. Ohhh I cant wait and its not me who is going. It is all gona be just lovely. Devon and Hong Kong. :-)
