Ooops

I hadn't realised how long it has been since I last blogged. Time seems to have flown by. Busy at work, busy at home. Don't seem to have achieved a great deal. Sent out 3 lots of postcards and have only remembered to photograph one!

Went to the Quilt Set meeting on Saturday. Had a really good day - lots of chat and laughter and to be honest not a great deal of sewing but that is how it goes at quilt meetings. Really was in my commfort zone. Made the beginnings of an applique bag and also started the first block of a small wall hanging. Really was a thoroughly enjoyable day. Thank you J. The small hanging will be something I can take to Germany to do in the car on the way and also in the evening. Going to visit my DIL and GS. Son is the forces and is off somewhere!!!. Thankfully he should be back just after we leave.

The pic I have posted is for a Fruit themed postcard swap. I decided to slice a kiwi, photograph it, print it onto fabric and then thread paint (well thats what it is meant to be - not an expert at it like friend J but hey, we all have to start somewhere!) then applied some beads for the kiwi seeds. Also made some air clay tiles to spell out the word Kiwi. The photograph isn't the best quality as my camera is really not particularly brilliant (note to DH, next Christmas present???). I do hope the other ladies in the group like it. I've also found another postcard I sent. It was themed Go Make Something and the rules were you had to use fabric and embellishments you either hadn't used before or hadn't used them for at least a year!!! The photo was taken at night and really isn't that clear. In the middle of doing another set of postcards and also a postcard for Cyber Fibre exhibition. See link in the sidebar.

I'm quite excited as tomorrow I will going to see the Kemshalls at work at The Bramble Patch. Truly amazing ladies who wrote the Painted Quilt. I have even taken a days leave fromn work to see them!! Will let you know how it goes.

Drat, the pictures seem to be going wherever they want again!!!

You are doing it again-----putting your work down!!! The Kiwi is great, I don't know why you think otherwise. Don't think I would have tackled a Kiwi, too many seeds!!
Couldn't find the cyber link though!!
