Heligan has different areas (all of which are huge). The Lost Valley, The Jungle etc. Check the link. We were lucky as the rhodedendrons were out, earlier in Devon than the rest of the country. Mine haven't flowered yet. There were some stupendous ones, all mixed in with ferns (and there were hundeds of them), in the Jungle area. It was fantastic.

Another one of the fern just starting to unfurl. It looks like something out of a
prehistoric film. Mind you, ferns have been around for thousands of years.
There were many ponds in the Lost Valley and the Jungle. All fed from streams at the top of the valley. The reflections in this one are wonderful. Very jungle like.
