Good and Not So Good Reasons

It has been a long time since I posted here. For good reasons and not so good reasons.

My son and his partner were married nearly a fortnight ago in Devon and we had a fantastic weekend at Percy's Hotel near Holsworthy. Very relaxed, very special and even the weather couldn't spoil it. I will post some pictures when I've askewd their permission to do so. That is the good reason.

The not so good reason is that my mother is terminally ill. She hasn't been well for some time but she has now rapidly gone downhill and the hospice say its just a matter of time. She has that invidious and terrible disease cancer. She has beaten it once when she had a mastectomy nearly 4 years ago but it has come back with a vengeance and she now has liver and bone cancer. We are living from day to day, waiting for that phone call. Myself and our three children are going to see her tomorrow. We are fairly spread around the country. One son lives in Yorkshire, the other in Exeter. My daughter lives nearby. However my mother is in a hospice in St Leonards on Sea in East Sussex so it is a fairly long jourtney to get down to her. My husband and I are however going down at the weekend and will be staying in a hotel near the hospice so we can pop in and out during the weekend. The staff there are wonderful. They not only care for their patients but also know how to care for the people that are going to be left behind.

I have been serwing but need to sort some pictures out at a later date.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Mother. I lost my Mother in June. It's the most difficult thing I've ever gone through.
It's good that you have your family to help you at this difficult time.
Take care. Hugs.
