Not a Great Deal to Tell

Not a great deal done recently as we've had DS,DIL and GS stayiing with us since before Christmas so life has been pretty full-on but good all the same. It's amazing how different life is when you have a four year old in the house!! Anyway they left on Thursday night and are safely esconced in their house in Germany. Not so good news as son has been told he is off to Iraq at the end of this month! Still, he is in the Forces and he knew it was quite likely but all the same it's a shock when it actually happens. We will have to keep DIL busy with frequent visits!!!


I discovered on someone's blog (can't remember which one I'm afraid, that there is an international postcard and ATC trade happening here cyberfyberexhibition.blogspot.com. This is being organised by fibre artist Susan Lenz . Do take a look as the postcards are stunning. Anyway I've decided to make a postcard for this trade. Started last night by painting some Bondaweb and fusing it to a piece of fabric. Not a bad result. I let it dry and then started felting some wool roving to the card (just happens that I bought a book on felting this weekend and this is where I got my idea from). Anyway, so far so good. I will take some pictures and post them here later on, sort of 'work in progress ' type of thing. Off to do some more needle felting.
