Monday

Today has been quiet (as quiet as it can be with a four year old around). Monday I don't work and today I have been doing chores like ironing, which I hate with a passion. Got half of it done anyway. Hoping to finish my January Challenge bag tonight. Thought I would get it finished yesterday but found I had sewn the wrong handle seams together!!! If its anyway decent I'll post a pic on here.

I was very good today though. I received two books in the post today. One was The Painted Quilt by Linda and Laura Kemshall and OMG it's fantastic. What those two ladies (mother and daughter actually) can't do with paint and fabric. The other is Fusing Fun by Laura Wasilowski and its great. Can't wait to try out some of the techniqes from both of them but I was very good and put them down until this evening.

Well lets have another go at posting some pics. The blue card is from Heather and the stitching is exquisite. It looks as if she has used reverse applique. The next one is by LynB, a very happy sequined Christmas tree. The purple card is from Kate, gorgeous purples and silver. The last card is from a Pick a Word swap and is from Dawn in Turkey and the word was Star.
Anyway enough for today, it looks as though the photograpahs have gone exactly where they want to and not where I wanted but hey ho, that's life.

I was so glad to "catch up" with you again and see (that) you're getting hooked on postcards!

Also I was interested to read your comments re thePainted Quilts book
as I've been tossing up whether to invest or not!
